How it Works
Sign up, create a group and invite other members. Any member of the group can initiate the process of creating a group, build a short group profile. The initiator will have the ability to switch on financials if desired – to track financial performance. Once registered, the initiator can now send out invitation to other members and allocate roles. The invitation will be in a form of an sms, which will have the key information of group name and a link to download the app. The sms will also contain a group code which the invited member will need to enter in order to have access to the right group.
Members will then have access to the membership module, view financial info, chat function and an event creation capability. The treasurer will be the only one who can update financials whilst everyone has the view only. A key aspect will be that members will be able to track who has paid, whether in full or partial and how the group is performing against targets.

This community has been the bedrock of many families’ financial survival, ranging from burial societies, group savings, assets acquisition, income augmentation and lately the growth of the group investment and lifestyle communities.
The Stokii app intends to bring digitisation to this community to enhance the growth prospects, especially with a view of attracting younger users. The platform will also seek to aggregate stokvels economies of scale in order to start the process of creating ongoing value to stokvels.
